Broadway-Flushing

Sub-neighborhood in Flushing · Queens

Broadway-Flushing is a historic residential district within Flushing developed from 1906 onward by the Rickert-Finlay Realty Company on former farmland, filled with Colonial, Tudor, Arts and Crafts, and American Foursquare homes protected by early deed covenants that preserved its suburban character. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006 with over 1,300 contributing properties, it centers on the 11-acre Bowne Park, a leafy green space with a pond and century-old oaks that anchors one of Queens' most intact early-20th-century streetscapes.
