Central Riverdale is the core of the Riverdale neighborhood in the northwest Bronx, home to the area's main commercial strip along Johnson Avenue and a mix of high-rise cooperative apartments and single-family homes on the hillside above the Hudson River. It serves as the commercial and institutional heart of Riverdale, containing many of the neighborhood's synagogues, schools, and local businesses.
