Crotona Park East

The Bronx

Crotona Park East is a densely populated residential neighborhood in the south Bronx bordering Crotona Park, the 127-acre green space that gives the area its name and serves as its primary outdoor amenity. Long associated with the urban disinvestment and arson that devastated much of the south Bronx in the 1970s, the neighborhood has undergone substantial rebuilding and is home to a predominantly Latino community of working-class families.
