Dutch Kills is a small sub-neighborhood of Astoria in western Queens, named after the Dutch Kills creek, a tidal inlet and tributary of Newtown Creek that once defined its industrial waterfront character. Long dominated by warehouses, auto shops, and manufacturing, the area has seen significant gentrification since the 2000s and is now home to a growing number of residential conversions, restaurants, and creative businesses tucked between the elevated rail lines and the creek.
