Foxhurst is a sub-neighborhood within Longwood in the south Bronx, a densely settled residential area of tenement-style apartment buildings and attached homes that developed in the early 20th century. Like much of the surrounding south Bronx, it experienced severe urban decline in the 1970s and has since been part of the broader rebuilding effort that has transformed the area in subsequent decades.
