Koreatown — or K-Town — is a vibrant Korean commercial enclave in Midtown South centered on 32nd Street between Fifth Avenue and Broadway, officially designated Korea Way, where more than 100 businesses pack a single block with restaurants, karaoke bars, spas, and shops on multiple stories. Originally part of the Garment District, the neighborhood emerged in the 1980s as Korean immigration accelerated and has since become an international economic and cultural outpost known for its Seoul-like density and its round-the-clock nightlife scene.
