Little Italy is a small but storied neighborhood in lower Manhattan, centered on Mulberry Street, that was once a sprawling enclave for Italian immigrants arriving in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Today it has shrunk considerably as Chinatown expanded around it, but it retains its identity through a handful of classic Italian restaurants, cafes, and the annual Feast of San Gennaro street festival.
