Locust Point is a small waterfront residential community within Throggs Neck in the southeast Bronx, situated on a narrow peninsula along the East River near where it meets Long Island Sound. Like neighboring Edgewater Park and Silver Beach, it developed as a bungalow colony and retains a close-knit, semi-private character defined by its waterfront setting and relative isolation from the surrounding street grid.
