Long Island City

Queens
Also known asLIC

Long Island City is the westernmost neighborhood in Queens, sitting directly across the East River from Midtown Manhattan at the foot of the Queensboro Bridge, and has transformed dramatically from an industrial hub into one of the city's fastest-growing residential and arts districts following a sweeping 2001 rezoning. It is home to MoMA PS1, the Noguchi Museum, Silvercup Studios, and the Queensbridge Houses — the largest public housing complex in North America — and continues to attract new development, including the under-construction Etihad Park soccer stadium that will serve as home to New York City FC.
