North Corona

Sub-neighborhood in Corona · Queens

North Corona is a densely populated, predominantly Latino neighborhood in central Queens bordering Flushing Meadows–Corona Park, home to one of the borough's most vibrant immigrant communities with deep roots in Mexico, Ecuador, and the Dominican Republic. It is the neighborhood where jazz legend Louis Armstrong lived for nearly three decades — his house is now a National Historic Landmark and museum — and it remains known for beloved institutions like the Lemon Ice King of Corona, in business since 1944.
