Williamsburg is a dynamic waterfront neighborhood in northern Brooklyn that transformed over the early 2000s from a largely Latino and Hasidic Jewish community into one of the most prominent destinations for nightlife, dining, art, and culture in New York City. Its main drags along Bedford Avenue and the waterfront are packed with boutiques, bars, and restaurants, while its southern half retains a large and insular Satmar Hasidic community.
